Keeping the Backcountry Clean & Pristine

• Please pack out all your trash. (Repackage your food to minimize what you carry out)

• Please don’t burn metal or plastics (they are just left behind in fire pits)

• Do not bury trash or your toilet paper (they’ll make there way to the surface, animals dig that stuff up)

• Bury human waste in a small hole around 6” deep, in organic soil, as far away from any water as possible. Cover and disguise with pine needles and twigs (keep waste unseen and water clean)

• We like to be prepared with a sizable dirties bag for packing out all human hygiene products. From diapers, baby and sanitizing wipes, to tampons, pads and all disposable undergarments.
